What GSAS-CGP is

GSAS-CGP, the GSAS Certified Green Professional, is a professional credential awarded by GORD for practitioners involved in GSAS projects. Like equivalent green-building credentials elsewhere, it demonstrates working knowledge of the GSAS system, its categories and the process of delivering a certified project.

Who becomes a CGP

The credential is earned by professionals across the project spectrum, including architects, engineers, sustainability specialists, project managers and others who work on GSAS-designated developments. For a consultancy, CGP holders on the team are a signal that the firm can operate inside the GSAS process rather than learning it on the project.

Why it matters to your project

Certification is a specialist process: calculations, documentation, submissions and evidence, coordinated with GORD and the whole design team. A project team with GSAS-CGP expertise moves through that process with fewer false starts, because the requirements are known before they become issues.

How to verify credentials

Ask GORD to confirm a credential if you need assurance. When appointing a GSAS consultant, ask for the credential alongside evidence of real submission experience. The paper and the practice together are what protect your rating.
