LEED and green building advisory in Qatar

LEED is the internationally recognised green-building rating system, familiar to global investors, occupiers and design teams. For projects targeting international markets, LEED expertise that understands the local context is the difference between a goal and a rating.

LEED without losing the local context

We provide green-building advisory informed by LEED BD+C (Building Design and Construction) expertise. That means supporting teams to understand which LEED credits are achievable in a hot-arid Gulf climate and in Qatar specifically, and coordinating the documentation, calculations and evidence those credits demand.

ALAAVATE is not USGBC, GBCI or a certification authority. We are a consultancy that helps project teams navigate LEED within their own project constraints, and we are transparent about where we add real value: strategy, coordination, documentation and design integration.

Align international and local requirements

Many Qatar projects sit at the intersection of regional and international expectations. We help teams find the practical alignment between GSAS, where local requirements drive approval, and LEED, where international market expectations drive value. The approach is honest about what each system rewards.

LEED and green building, answered

What is the difference between GSAS and LEED?+

GSAS is the green-building certification developed by GORD for Qatar and the Gulf, with a strong emphasis on regional hot-arid conditions. LEED is the international system developed by the US Green Building Council and is widely recognised globally. Projects may pursue either, or align to both to meet national requirements and international expectations.

Can a project achieve both GSAS and LEED?+

Yes. Many teams align a GSAS approach for local requirements with LEED for international recognition. A consultant experienced in both can help avoid duplicated documentation and conflicting credit strategies.

Is ALAAVATE a certification body?+

No. ALAAVATE is a consultancy that supports project teams through LEED and green-building requirements. Certification bodies and authorities set and verify the standards; we help you meet them.
