Depth earned in the sector

ALAAVATE is led by Ala’ Albustami, a UPDA (MMUP) certified architect, LEED AP BD+C and GSAS-CGP Design & Build who has worked in Qatar's built environment since 2013. She specialises in sustainable design and in taking GSAS projects from concept to certificate.

From 2018 to 2024 at fd consult she ran GSAS-D&B implementation and certification on design and construction projects: opening applications with GORD, preparing the calculators, calculations, studies and reports behind each claimed score, verifying material submittals and attending site audits. As associate project manager she also led design coordination with structural, MEP and interior teams through tender and construction packages. Before that she coordinated GSAS documentation and compliance at Qatar Green Leaders and began as an architect at National Engineering Bureau. Today she works as a senior sustainability engineer.

GORD has recognised her twice: a Certificate of Appreciation for active participation in GSAS implementation in 2018, and a Certificate of Recognition for longstanding commitment to sustainability in 2024.
