Certification by market

The right rating system, wherever your project sits

GSAS

Qatar

GSAS is the national certification, developed by GORD and assessed at both design and construction stages. Qatar's government-led market widely uses GSAS, and GORD states it is mandatory for government projects and all projects in Lusail.

Frequently asked questions

Which certification do I need in my country?+

Location decides the primary system: Qatar projects engage GSAS (GORD), Saudi Arabia engages Mostadam (Ministry of Municipalities and Housing), Abu Dhabi uses Estidama and Dubai uses Al Sa'fat. In Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain, LEED is the common international benchmark, with GSAS where regional alignment is needed and local codes applying alongside either. We map your project to the right system during the free assessment.

How long does certification take?+

It depends on project stage and size. A design-stage assessment runs in parallel with design, and the final rating follows construction, so the timeline tracks your programme. Appointing the consultant early is the single biggest lever on the timeline.

Do you work remotely across borders?+

Yes. We coordinate documentation, calculations, submissions and stakeholders remotely across the GCC and wider MENA, and provide on-site audit and verification support wherever a project needs it.
